I cannot believe we are this far into the year already! I have been so blessed by your children and this beautiful weather! Check out some of these great photos from the past 2 weeks. It has been TOO much fun!
It has been a busy time here in Grade 1. We have been enjoying all of the snow, especially the snow day! We are learning so much about numbers, colours and sight words here and we are LOVING how good learning can feel! We are also excited to have Miss deLeeuw, an education student from the University of Lethbridge, join our class for 5 weeks. This is her first teaching practicum and it has been neat for me to have her because it allows me to work in a more one-on-one setting with our kids! Take a look at some of the fun we have had over the past few weeks.
We have been working hard on learning how to read our sight words and we have begun some beginning steps of writing! I have been so proud of how Grade One has been so excited to become little writers and put their ideas down onto paper!
This week was busy and it came with beautiful weather! We spent as much time outside as we could! We went to the park to collect nature treasures as we worked on our numbers 1-10. We also had picture day, orange shirt day and our Terry Fox celebration!
Please remember, if you have yet to see a photo of your child on here it is because I haven't received your form back. We have been learning about Autumn and patterns and so this week we went outside to make patterns with autumn items!
I have also been SO proud of these kiddos and their tenacity as they learn how to independently log in to their computers. Here are photos from our park trip, a Math activity on sorting and a recess where we tried to go down the slide as FAST as we could!
